Simply Marie's

I found this place on yelp and it was by far the cheapest place in Baltimore that I had a meal.  In addition, it was my first stop in Baltimore.  I parked a couple blocks away and walked to the restaurant.

When I got into Marie's I ordered hash browns and a biscuit with chipped beef.  The thing that didn't make sense to me was why the guy at the front held my soda (pop) at the front until my food came weird, he didn't seem to do that with the previous order.  I didn't like the hash browns they were way to peppery for my personal taste, there's a point where dumping pepper on becomes overkill and its an attempt to hide the flavors.  The biscuit tasted good and the chipped beef was average.  I ended up throwing out most of the hash browns.

cost: $11

National Katyń Memorial

This is a powerful memorial, if you don't know what it is memorializing.  During world war 2 the Russians executed a bunch of polish officers in a forest called katyń.  Their is a powerful film about it.

A Description from IMDB: An examination of the Soviet slaughter of thousands of Polish officers and citizens in the Katyn forest in 1940. ... Andrzej Wajda. ... A dramatization of one man's rescue of Jewish refugees in the Nazi-occupied Polish city of Lvov.

Manifesto Tuscan Grato & Scotch Bar

This scotch bar has a big scotch list and other rare hard liquors if your interested.  I didn't choose it because of that fact, I picked because it was close to the Sheraton I was staying at during a conference in Columbus Ohio.

Now the food.  The one night I got a Caesar Salad and the other night I got a sandwich that tasted great.  I didn't eat at the bar, my hotel room was more comfortable.  The bartender was nice.

Overall a good experience

zoo review
This zoo is small and overpriced.  If you walk out of this zoo instead of taking the tram, you walk by this area that its so run down.  You would think they would try to make it nicer instead it looks like a dump.  Plus the parking is horrible, I've never been to a zoo with such a crappy parking lot.

Carroll Mansion

Carroll Mansion Baltimore MD
I don't know what it is about Baltimore but two of the museums (civil war museum) including this one, the Carroll Mansion weren't clearly marked.  I walked around for 20 to 30 minutes looking for it after eating in Little Italy.  The whole time I'm thinking this better be worth the twenty dollar admission price and I better learn something.

When I entered the mansion, I paid my twenty bucks and was promptly handed a price list for everything in the mansion.  I guess the idea that everything has a price today was confirmed in this instance.  When it comes to learning stuff about the mansion, there's always the internet.  I didn't learn anything except that they had a Ouija board on the third floor outside of the bedroom on the floor.  Personally they should burn that and walk away.  What a waste of money and time.

PS. Do me a favor look at the pictures below and guess how much they cost since I threw out the price list after I got to the Holocaust Memorial.
