Willow Street Restaurant

 So I went to this diner, when I was house sitting for my brother in July.

I ordered the turkey dinner, it was turkey covered in gravy with stuffing underneath.  The dish was good.  It came with two sides, macaroni and cheese and French fries.  They were both good.  They also have a salad bar but I didn't get it.

Then I went there again and had breakfast.  So I ordered the cheese omelet and deep fried potatoes.  They were both good.

Route 30 Diner

 So I went to this diner after church.  I sat at the bar.

I ordered the country fried steak meal.  It came with French fries and onion rings.  The steak was good, even though it was medium sized.  The fries were a large portion, they tasted good and the onion rings were large.  They tasted good.

If the country fried steak was bigger the rating would be better but I guess that's what you get for $13.

Knight and Day Diner

 So I've been to this diner a couple times, the last time I ordered the shrimp and tenders.  The first thing was the salad, it was good with French dressing.  Then, I ate corn nuggets which is corn deep fried it was good.  The fries were good.  The shrimp and tenders were good, there were a half pound of shrimp and 3 tenders.  Overall a good meal.

However at a previous meal they tried to throw out my leftovers without asking me if it was okay.  I had to wait 20 minutes for the replacement.  If the host weren't so eager to get rid of uneaten food the rating would be higher.

Lyndon Diner

 I went out to lunch today and picked lyndon diner as my selection.  I had been here once before.

I ordered the turkey panini which would have been great except they slopped chipotle ranch on it which made it spicy which I didn't like.  The fries were good.

Neptune Diner

 I like this diner, they for the most part have good food.  For instance, I tried there meat lovers omelet and its great with the mix of ham, sausage, and bacon.  The home fries were good.

This diner also has good cheesesteaks and meat loaf among my favorites.

Cheeburger Cheeburger

So I was at a conference in Landenberg and I went down to Newark to eat.  I originally was going to go to a chain restaurant but I saw this place and went it... diners speak to me.  Anyways the atmosphere was nice and the food was good.  This diner specializes in cheeseburgers, I picked the semi-serious a 1/3 pound burger with a side of onion rings.  The burger was good and the onion rings were great.  Overall a good impression and experience.

ps. this restaurant has mixed reviews online, I had a good experience.

College Park Diner

I went to this diner because it was on the way to D.C.  I ordered a egg sandwich and turkey sausage.  The sandwich tasted great and the sausages tasted good but the sausages were puny.  Overall I liked the place.  Cost under $7 if I remember correctly

Tommy's Diner

This diner had pictures all over the walls but that didn't make the service quicker.  I waited close to ten minutes to be given a menu.

I looked at the large menu and picked the chicken fajita omelet.  When I ordered this, I wasn't expecting much.  The omelet was average; the fajita didn't seem to be spiced correctly.  The hash browns tasted okay.  Overall this breakfast was bland.

DK Diner

July 11th

My last day in the Columbus Ohio Region before I took the long ass drive back to Pennsylvania. I had chosen a bunch of diners to eat breakfast at since the Sheraton I stayed at in Columbus didn't include breakfast.

So I drove to DK Diner.  I thought the place looked cool with the lights on the patio.  So I put my name on the list and waited for a seat.  I sat out in the patio, the hostess was nice.

I ordered an omelet with bacon and cheese and fried potatoes, sounded good.  What I got was a big piece of egg folded over bacon and cheese.  They didn't bother to cut the bacon and gave me a butter knife to cut the bacon.  Thanks a lot.  Call me crazy but I thought an omelet had the ingredients in the actual omelet.  I liked the potatoes.

The diner had a unique feature in that the drinks were self serve. I got my first drink before my meal came to my small table.  When I was half-way through my meal I went to fill my drink.  When I came back my food was gone.  I saw a waitress and asked, "where's my food."  She said with a twinkle in her eye, that the my waitress had thought I was done with my food.  Thanks for asking if I was finished.  She yelled her name, she realized her mistake but still threw out my food, afterwards she came up to me to apologize and offered to have another omelet made but since I thought the omelet was lousy I declined.  Plus I was going to the Columbus Zoo after this and didn't feel like staying in an awkward situation.  So I told her I would take toast.  When she gave it to me I waited until she went inside the diner to leave since I didn't want to make a scene.  I thought the place had a cool vibe until this happened.

Boulevard Diner (dundalk)

I stopped here in the evening after doing some stuff in d.c.  You can read about it here.  This diner is located in dundalk which is in the Baltimore Maryland metro area.

This diner has a huge menu.  I choose the half-rack of ribs for $12.75, that's not a typo.  Can you say cheap?  The ribs were awesome.  The sides were puny, (fries & corn) I guess they have to save money somehow.  The waitress was nice.  Overall this place has a cool vibe, so if your ever in the Baltimore area check this place out.
